Thanks to the efforts of your Civic Association and the many dedicated volunteers who went door-to-door, we were able to present a compelling case to the Seminole County Board of Adjustment to keep Children First from expanding their for-profit corporation within our community.
We are so proud of the support shown by the more than 700 individuals who had the strength of conviction to put their names and addresses in writing to protect our property values, our property rights and the very nature of our residential neighborhood.
While the five members of the Seminole County Board of Adjustment voted unanimously to deny the Children First request, they (Children First) still have the option of appealing the Board of Adjustment’s decision within 15 days from the 28th of July. Should they decide to do so, there may be another hearing, this time before the Board of County Commissioners.
We don’t know if we are out of the woods yet. So, please be aware that we must stay motivated and committed to protecting our property values and rights should we need to go before the County Commission over this matter.
It takes some really caring folks to volunteer their time and energy to fill any one of the positions on the WCA Board. Hats off to all of you, who care and give so much. The WCA board is here for you, Please feel free to contact any one the board members listed above with any questions or concerns that you may have. The WCA board wishes to welcome anyone who would like to join them with projects and events for the upcoming months ahead.
